Guitar, Bass and Theory

Neil is our principal as well as a teacher for our students. He has spent his life working in music in a variety of establishments such as Access to Music and Trafford College.

He decided to set up Maunder’s in 2008 and since then, it has been a thriving environment for budding musicians as well as for people to socialise with one another.

Neil’s experience in music spans across a range of platforms such as Dangerous Live – The Michael Jackson Tribute Show which incidentally featured legendary bassist Barry Johnson from Sweet Sensations. He’s also toured with original bands such as late ‘90s rock band, The Insane Pipers playing sold out gigs in a number of Manchester venues.

His students include Martin Finnigan from The Rainband and Dave Johnson who was the session bassist for The Sugababes along with many other pop acts.

Neil is excellent with both beginner and intermediate levels and has had a loyal client base for many years.

Neil currently plays with Manchester grunge/rock band, That’s My Eye.
