Joel has worked his whole life in the music industry, playing professionally in function/original bands as well as teaching. He studied music at ‘Access to Music’ college’ before going on to study a degree in Popular Music and Salford university. Joel plays both drums and guitar and also sings lead vocals in his band ‘Demon Tea’.

He first worked for Maunder’s School Of Music when we fist opened in 2008, teaching drums to children and adults during our first 2 years. He returned in 2021 and caters for all ages and abilities. He has an incredible long term retention rate of students.

Joel currently plays drums for ‘Wheezed’, a UK number 1 Weezer tribute band, playing gigs across the country.

He is also a screamo vocal teacher, being the former frontman/vocalist in the progressive metal band ‘Demon Tea’.
