He has gone from being a complete beginner to playing with a band, and is now pursuing further education in music and potentially a career in the industry. In addition to solid teaching and instrument skills, Neil and his team have created a great ambiance for nurturing and building confidence of learners. I think their patience, compassion and obvious love of sharing their passion for music is wonderful for any learner, but hugely beneficial in particular for the neurodivergent and/or with emotional/ mental health issues. Always been a music lover and always wanted to play music which I have now learnt and am still learning thanks to this school. I’ve had some bad experiences with teachers from other subjects in the past but everyone here is so nice and supportive and it’s really made me come far, and I’m always looking forward to going in and learning. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, I’ve always felt comfortable and at peace there. I’ve also met great people and been given nice opportunities as well. Great place for all ages also. I’ve been going to Maunder’s for 10+ years and, don’t see myself leaving anytime soon. The staff are extremely supportive, have helped me exceed all of my musical goals. There’s also band workshops available for anyone who is interested in being in a band. I was quite nervous about joining the workshop at first as i’d never played in a group and due to neurodivergence, struggle with new things and meeting new people but now i couldn’t imagine life without it. The workshop hasn’t just given me a place to make music and perform, it’s introduced me to people who i hope to have in my life for a very long time and given me a safe space where i feel supported and safe to be myself and i know many other people who feel the same way. I will forever be thankful to Neil for creating the maunder’s community and for constantly going out of his way to support us and our music. Maunder’s is a place where everyone is welcome and accepted. There’s something for everyone here, no matter the instrument or the genre, there’s a place for you at Maunder’s. Finding Us

Maunder’s School Of Popular Music, Building 8, Biz space/Wilson’s Pk, Monsall Rd, M408WN

Once through the gates of Wilsons park/Biz space we are straight ahead, 3^rd building on the left opposite the MOT garage. Staircase on the outside. Parking at the front and side of our building.

Parking

All parking is free, however students driving in need to scan the Parking Eye QR code on arrival to avoid a £100 fine.

Cancellation Policy

Anyone wishing to cancel your arranged lesson, you must give 24 hours notice prior to the start-time of your lesson to avoid a full cancellation charge, otherwise any late cancellations will incur a full charge, unfortunately, regardless of the circumstances.

No future lessons can be booked in until payment has been made of any cancelled lessons that are under 24 hours. By booking a lesson with Maunder’s School Of Popular Music you are reserving a slot with yourself and the teacher for an agreed time and day. When a student is able to give of any cancellation gives the teacher time to refill the slot and not suffer a loss of earning due to a cancellation.

Refund Policy

We cannot offer Refunds for all or part of any block booking already made. By signing up to a block booking you are receiving a discounted rate on the lessons, which cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
