Ellie Leyland is a vocalist based in Manchester, UK. She specialises in genres such as pop, jazz, soul and theatre and some of her key musical influences are Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones. Ellie is a confident performer and regularly performs at open mics and charity concerts, performing covers of songs and some of her original work.
Some of Ellie’s musical education includes GCSE Music, level 3 BTEC in Music Performance and she is currently studying an undergraduate degree in Popular Music and Recording at the University of Salford. Whilst studying her degree, her main interests that she has been focusing on are performance, composition and musicology.
Ellie is passionate about music and looks forward to being able to pass on her passion through teaching. Ellie believes that becoming a musician at a young age helps to boost your confidence and benefits many aspects of life, socially and academically, and looks forward to helping beginners start their singing journey and start expressing themselves creatively.
