Minerva is a passionate and dedicated singer, songwriter and keyboardist based in Manchester. With a rich background in both performance and education Minerva takes a warm-hearted approach to her lessons and with a deep understanding of the art, She hopes to cultivate the next generation of talented musicians, inspire students to embrace their passion for music and express their creativity to the fullest.

Minerva studied at British Institute of Modern Music Manchester and graduated with BA honours in professional musicianship, specialising in vocal performance.

Currently an active member of the Manchester music scene, her musical performance journey began performing in local venues in the Peak District at the age of 15, she has gone on to perform at a multitude of renowned music venues such as Band on the Wall, Night & Day, Gorilla, as well as gather extensive radio play and press for her original released music, Recorded at Abbey Road studios & competed for a 100k record deal at the 02 Indigo in London.

Needless to say she has been captivating audiences with her soulful voice and dynamic stage presence. Drawing on this wealth of live performance experience, she brings valuable insights to her tutoring sessions, helping students understand the intricacies of stage performance and the art of connecting with an audience as well as finding their voice, vocal technique and most importantly, having fun with every song they choose!

Her approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, fostering a supportive environment where creativity can flourish.

As a singer/songwriter and keyboardist, Minerva draws inspiration from a variety of musical genres, her influences range from soulful artists such as Etta James, Nina Simone & Ella Fitzgerald, to grunge and rock icons Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, she also has a not so hidden love for musical theatre and pop music. This multifaceted artistry enriches her teaching, as she encourages students to explore their own abilities and preference and develop a personal style. Anything is possible!

With a strong commitment to nurturing talent, Minerva aims to empower students to build confidence, improve their vocal abilities, and pursue their musical dreams. Whether preparing for auditions, honing performance skills, or simply exploring the joy of singing, she is devoted to guiding each student on their unique musical journey.

Alongside her teaching, Minerva leads the Manchester Pop Choir — a fun, inclusive singing group that meets every Sunday at Maunders School of Popular Music. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned shower singer, the Pop Choir is all about enjoying music together in a safe, supportive space. Expect feel-good pop hits, good vibes, and zero judgement.
